About freeQRent

A free studio for styled and animated QR codes. Type a link, pick a look, turn the knobs, export an SVG, PNG or JPEG. Every code is checked to scan before you download it.

Your files never leave your browser. Logos and pictures are kept in this browser's storage on your device. There are no accounts, no watermarks and no tracking redirects: the code points exactly where you told it to.

The studio runs freeqrent, an open-source library for styled QR codes, compiled to WebAssembly. Use it in your own projects under the MIT license.

Codes are yours to use anywhere, commercially or not. The one on the stage when you first arrive opens this very page: circular, but it scans.

This browser can't run the studio

The studio draws codes with WebAssembly in a background worker, and this browser doesn't offer one of them.

Any current version of Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari works, on a computer or a phone.

The studio needs JavaScript

freeQRent makes QR codes right here in your browser, so nothing you type or upload is ever sent to a server. That takes JavaScript, which is turned off or blocked here.
